*Bumped for day crowd* This summer I thinking of taking a vacation out west. I (think) mostly stick in BC & enjoy the good mountain roads, maybe spend a day in Seattle. Plans are still very loose as it’s still an idea, but what is there to do & any travel tips?

There is lots to do! BC’s a pretty province with lots of good roads. We’ve got an active summer car scene too.

It’d be cool to meet up if you came out this way! I’m right off the trans-canada

The mountain roads is the main reason for BC. I’ ve done lots of twisty forest roads, but never twisty mountain roads. I be coming in though the south of BC on BC-3, that be 1000(ish) kms of twists. I would for sure meet up with some people. I also have family in Vancouver I could crash with to save hotel costs.

If you have time to detour up from the #3 up through the national parks along the border of BC and AB, definitely do that, they’re amazing. I’ve been through there along the parkways and along the #1 several times, and every time it’s with my jaw on the floor. Really though, pretty much anywhere you go, there’ll be things of interest and/or beauty, we’re a bit spoiled over here when it comes to scenery.

Aside from that, I don’t think we have much redeeming that isn’t a tourist trap and could possibly be better than BC. Sorry.
